Greene County Democrats will celebrate St Patrick’s Day with an Iow-ish Potato Soup Supper Friday, March 15, at 5:30 pm at the new meeting room at the Churdan public library.
Special guest will be Congressman John Delaney, Democratic candidate for president and the grandson of an Irish immigrant. This will be Delaney’s second visit to Greene County, his first being for a roundtable discussion on agricultural issues in August.
Delaney will don a blue apron to help serve the supper and will then speak and answer questions from the public.
The menu will include a choice of potato or beef vegetable soup, breadsticks, relishes, dessert and a beverage. A free will donation will be accepted.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend and meet Congressman Delaney.
